zorst valve cleaning ?

ideally want to soak them in some magic liquid that feeds

I might also be worth leaving them to soak in some coke cola for a while, that stuff can shift enamel off of teeth if left for a few days so might do the job for you?

I stripped a carb and left it in Cola for a few days and it took away loads of burnt on grim and old gasket.

warm vinegar will do that to a carb in 15mins....


i personally put the stem of the exhaust valve in an electric drill, then use the edge of grinding disc to remove the large hard carbon deposits. or use rough sandpaper. - lubricate with WD40. sorted.

ive always slapped the valve in a drill- high speed- and then simply run the corner of a piece of metal over the valve face. i finish off with wd40 and coarse paper working down to fine paper to a mirror finish:agree:

done similar to this , wrapped some masking tape to the stem end of the valve
chucked in das drill , used a tiny bit of diesel on a scotch pad and spun that bad boy .
after 20 mins all 8 of my zorst valves are spangly again :agree: (for a while )

yeah, but no longer than 15mins, else it eats away the threads in the body.
it bubbles quite violently, and you must do it outside!
when done - scrub it with a wire wool scouring pad - the ones with a pink soap embedded in it. - brings it up nice. - make sure you rinse thoroughly. - then dry it else you get white oxidation build up!
