failed the mot on handbreak resistance on the drivers side, ive cheaked all the usual problems so ive gota replace the handbreak cable, do i change just that side or have i gota do both?

the common cause of hand brake effort being poor on one side only is the lever on the back of the caliper being siezed up or stiff. strip them down (fiddly), clean and re-grease.

wheres the best place to get the cables from cus the one i had from gsf was an inch longer that the old one i took off car and that was fully adjusted out, and the one euro car parts got for me wasnt even for a 5!

any help??

Agree with J, Renault OE cables work well, but not cheap £42 last one I ordered.

jesus, bit of a difference from 10 quid at gsf! no wonder they can afford a f1 team!!
