:confused:Which one was it.?
im unsure as ive got 2 from way back in the day.. 1 being a phillips and the other being pioneer. both are radio cassette players.

the phillips came from a phase1 and the pioneer from a phase2.

where they both OE or just the one.?

ahh, theres 2 versions of this headunit i think??
i think the one you have is a 4 speaker headunit where as mine is a 2 speaker headunit.
the differnce ive noticed between yours and mine is that where you have buttons at number 4 & 6 have twisty knobs. apart from that it looks exactly the same.

im sure that phillips was in the OE headunit range too.????

I think the Phillips was standard kit in the Raiders.

that sort of explains something id found strange. ive got speaker connectors in the rear but no speakers!?! so the first owner chose the upgrade stereo but without the extra speakers??????!

I've never seen a Pioneer like that from the factory. Not sure that's OE.

Pioneer did the 89 head unit. I think the model number was KD-3500 or something like that. Matt Clements will correct me if I'm wrong.

I've just been offered a virtually mint 3080, apparently according to the guy who sourced it who collects them this model appeared about four months after the 2090 so is of the period.
Ill probably have it off him but ask him to continue searching.

My 1st raider had the phillips unit with a dodgy volume control, used to blow me ear drums out when switched it on. Good sound quality. I have a pioneer in my phase 1 at moment will check model later this evening.

The sound quality of the phillips is far better than the pioneer!

Am a little torn now, it's not as similar as I thought but as you can see it's in brilliant nick complete loom etc.

For some reason I had always thought that the factory fresh (with pristine book) Pioneer KE-2090B had been fitted subsequently in my car. Happy to see now that it has in fact always been there and was indeed as Renault supplied it.
