Thank you an my apologies for not saying please ;)

Can anyone help with problem below please??

When my car is running i have no brake pedal at all, an if i pump the pedal the idle gets rough an eventually then engine dies. The carb as been rebuilt an idle setup an mixture set as per 1.5%. I have removed checked and cleaned both one-way valves on i/m an one on servo itself, brake system is all new, (Lines/Calipers/Pads/Mastercylinder/Brakecompensator) It has been bled twice with no air present and has a really good firm pedal until engine starts, then just drops to floor. Im lost as to what could be problem there is no hissing from manifold an no leaks of fluid or air from what i can hear or see. Thank you everyone

New servo me thinks?? :cry::cry:

One way valve on the back of the inlet manifold that the pipe connects to from the brake servo??

Try putting a pair of mole grips on the pipe to block it off & see if it makes any difference??

Have removed an cleaned these already mate,i pulled white one from rubber on servo an unscrewed one from i/m base and reconnected both to the servo pipe as would be on car. I can blow through one from servo and its blows freely through the pipe an through other valve but if i try an blow other way wont let me, sayin to me that they both ok :confused:

My servo failed on me when i refurbished my brake system, and my second hand servo wasnt much better, so i have had to bite the bullet and buy a new servo... dont forget they are all nearly 20 years old now and have rubber diaphragms inside... good luck though mate. If your changing the servo with the engine in you can squeeze them out under the car if you whip out one of the drive shafts....;)

Doon't bother getting under the car and getting filthy, just whip the inlet manifold off and there's plenty of room to get the old servo out and the new one in

i recently replaced the servo and master, i must say its a refreshingly easy job..like al says push the driveshaft to one side, take the pipes off gingerly...:) and bend ever so gently and away ya go...best on a ramp or high as ya can get it...:D, im no expert and i had the job done minus the bleeding in three hours..an im a tree surgeon...:laugh:.

i was told that the 182 servo is remote an the 5 is direct, as in the rod connects direct to pedal. Anyone know if this is correct?
