Right, some of you may remember that the engine in the cup was knocking, suspect big end, well last time i couldent find anything wrong so i put it all back together and it survived Mallory Park, the oil pressure was never quite what it should of been however, Castle Combe afew weeks ago and it started knocking worse than ever and the oil pressure dropped even lower :crap:

So, pulled it apart again today ( With help from J :agree:), completly stipped the thing down to the bare block to find the big end(s) were shot. On a good note though all the pistons + liners are new Tarabusi, and everything else in the lump is nearly new looking :)

Luckily, the PMT stores has a decent spare crank with matchinging bearings that im going to swap over. All the other parts in the engine are like new so i think il just chuck it all together again ( going to look at the oil pump abit more closely as i think it may be at fault

And how long will that last ya ?!...do it once BUT do it right...

Get the crank out measured/balanced/reground, whatever is needed and the correct spec bearings...also, have you thought about trying another oil pump even though yours 'appears' to be alright ? :cooter:
