Looking good so far :) I also know that the wright bros are making an appearance from Carlise ;)

After talking to Scott yesterday we decided an early start of 8:00, to allow as much time per car as possible for tweaking :)

Also if we can get 10 cars running we will get it at £35 per car :)

So get your names down :D :D

I would like to go but just to meet some new people and talk cars! I dont wanna get shown up with my little standard Phase 1! I saw in pictures elsewhere on the site that my car has in fact been to one of the RTOC RR days before I owned it.

Where abouts in Ayrshire is it? Im in Kilwinning.

Cheers for the help.

im a bit paranoid about leaving my car parked outside my house never mind in glasgow :scared:

ill be there in the 5 aslong as i get my driveshaft sorted , got it off tonight ,and theres a place in paisley that can just change the cv joint part of it ,so ill pop it in there the morra with plans to have it back on the car friday afternoon .

Im alittle skint the noo after my AVA bill so it will be border line if i go on the rollers or no, if enough peeps show up and the price comes down abit ill give her a run , either way ill be there .

could be the first rtoc event ive attended with the 5 going full beans :smokin:

That would be good! Are you sure you dont mind? Where abouts are you? Do you know the little tiny car park across from Bridgend Car Garage, I thinks its the pubs car park, not sure. Anyway, we could meet somewhere like there or the train station would be good. Whatever suits you guys. Im easy.

Im just at the back of Kilwining so I come in form the Eglinton Park kind-a-side.

Thanks!

Nice to get the car out for a run today and managed the drive there and back with no probs :)

Was nice to meet some new faces and catch up with the Millers , alot of respect goes to Chris , taking the time out to fix members cars which always involves getting your hands dirty :agree:

I think mines was the only 5 there that had no issues and managed a power run  which was surprising .

Cheers to mr Warpspeed for hosting the day :agree:

any figuers from the day?

Mudslinger
15-11-2008, 21:40
Im very unfamiliar with the type of rolling road and the print outs are a little echa sketchy ,

Mines was slightly down on power compaired to the power runs ive had at AVA (50+) not much in it though , it was more the revs that i was thinking looked strange ie where it comes on boost and what revs it makes peak power ,

Max power -engine 239.9bhp
Max power - Wheel 204.1bhp
Max torque 212.1Ibft

I let the others post there figures as im not quite sure ..

if this dyno does a pull, and you're used to static readings the spool will be later. There may well have been some wheelspin if the peak power revs are wrong, I couldn't run more than 200hp without wheelspin. When they do a pull the revs should increase steadily, if you hear the revs suddenly pick up you're spinning. I filled my local RR with chunks of Sukhi's rubber (thanks for the loan of the tyres )

Mudslinger
15-11-2008, 22:07
there didnt seem to be any wheel spin

Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone for a warm welcome to the club. Had fun at the RR day and even managed to go out for dinner with Chris and the crew for a chat and a curry. Thanks to Emma and Dave for meeting me before saving me getting the SatNav out!

Heres some pics I took. Took cold to make an effort though. :p

hahaha yeah, the car is shot on an 8 or 10 second exposure (cant remember) so its actually only being pushed by someone form behind and it appears to be going fast. We didnt have enough people to stick someone in the drivers seat! Well spotted ;)
