and hopefully will have it mapped buy the end of october.
just wondering if any 1 has a fuel map or ignition map for the b18 ft
so we cud get it running nice on the drive
i need cranking angle
tdc angle ect also
i know it wont directly relate to my management as i beleive its the first 1
but any help is good help.
plus my mapping man will be so happy that it will be quicker for him lol
Are you running MAP as main load? I guess you are using the standard Volvo 60-2 flywheel? What size are your injectors?
I would probably be able to give you a map that it will fire up on if required?
also which DTA ecu is it?
ash that wud be great mate
its exp48
im using standard 60-2 volvo fly wheel, but its the later 1 that uses a bigger clutch
my injectors are from a saab dont have the part number to hand but i think they are 330-340 cc plus ill be running 4 bar of fuell presure.
it has a new air temp sencor
seimans water temp sencor
cossie 2.5 bar map sencor
ford focus 2 ltr zeetec coil pack (will be changing for a biger 1)
cossie compatition ht leads modefied to suit
standard volvo tps
t 28
collins -31 actuator
hope thats all the info u need mate
Yeah, should be able to help.
maps on its way marrow, let me know what you think :agree:
If you want to download the adaptronic software (wari.exe) then I can send you a b18ft map that I did using saab red injectors. It's mapped upto about 23psi boost. It ran only 3 bar fuel, though. Note, ignition map is quite critical on those engines, they don't like a lot of advance.
u boys are top
ash i received yr pm but there was no map in there or did u send via email.
scoff any help is good help will yr map be easly transferable to the dta
unsure if they are relativly simular.
Opps, :ashamed:, Its there now :)
standard volvo tps
You will need to change the throttle position sensor for a different one, as the standard tps is just a switch type, It is just their to let the ecu know you are on idle.
You need a sensor that varies the voltage depending on the position the throttle is in.
Chris:)
thanks scoff and ash for yr help will be looking at those tomorow.
had it running today, not for long but she ran.
miller, what sort of tps do i need to be looking for, we dun throttle stops on the map and i get a throtle position reading 10% 20% ect ect all seemed ok
1 problem im having is, for the first few seconds of cranking im getting 'normal' readings. say 600 rmp's but after that it jumps to 6000 rmp's
only way to get it started is buy quik bursts on the starter. any sugestions?
dave, if you have the 5 pin TPS you should be fine, there is a throttle pot aswell as idle switch in there. you probably don't need the idle switch connecting to anything.
yeah it 5 pin tps, 3 wires conected, 5 volt, grnd, sweeper. i think. cnt remember now tho.
im needing 2 new fuel pumps tho. any sugestions. thinking standard cosie pumps
Yes, tps wiring sounds right.
Re fuel pump, mk1 golf GTI pumps fit into the R5 bracket, and is what the VAG tuners sell as their uprated pump. try GSF or ECP for new ones.
mr scoff thank you verry much
will be anover couple of weeks be for it gets started agen as i dont understand wat i need to do to adjust fuell and ignition to make it run, so i need to realy on a freind.
if only my laptop had a serial port grrrr
also whilst its fresh in my mind,
the volvo engine comes with a watercooled sandwich plate for the oil.
i have a mocal oil cooler and a mocal thermostat to control the tempreture.
the c1j sandwich plate isnt a straight swap, so were can i get 1 from.
part numbers, price, suplier info is all required if any 1 can help
thanks
