:badone::rant::hmmph::jerkoff: F*cking Janky Residents always balls it up!!!

Obviously do not realise that living next to a GP circuit might be a bit noisy of a weekend before they buy the house!! :sad2:

Bet you don't. I'm fecking fuming at this!

Best track in the world in my opinion, potentially now coming to an end due to this p.c, nanny state world we now live in.

Another nail in the motorsport coffin.

:dearme: :sad2:

Same thing is happening round here with the airports, why buy a house near an airport then complain about the noise planes make

AlexS

Indeed Mart.

This report looks slightly better but there's gonna have to be some fight!

"not-for-profit anti-noise organisation whose name literally translates as 'the quiet ones'."

That's not what I'd call the f**kers!!

Why move next to a circuit/railway line/airport/motorway if you're well aware that it's gonna be a noisy environment to live in? Idiots.

Fecking boils my p1ss.

Surely it's not closed as yet has it??

I thought I read that any closure has been suspended pending an appeal??

AlexS

True Steve but they thought nothing of closing it this week just before a 6 hour race weekend. It took a court appeal to allow the track to open the gates today. There were race team transporters locked out of the curcuit yesterday!! :dearme:

Looks like there could've been crossed-wires - The complaint dates back to 2007, but everything has been ok since/at the present, so no reason why the ban won't be lifted & everything goes back to normal.

Not sure why it's suddenly come to light now though?

Don't think so Mart. Looks like they lodged the complaint in 2007 and have since then backed up the complaint with so called evidence to force the authorities to this position.

I really can't see them having success. The level of local government investment in factilities at the track and surounding infrastructure, not to mention benefits to the local economy mean closure would be pretty devastating. Can't see them supporting that.

I really do hope they see common sense and let racing commence full time...

Would be a very sad day to see the track close down.:(

Out of interest how much does it cost to do a trackday at Spa?

a little off topic i know but, when they built my local Tesco megastore, and they started taking they're deliveries in the night.....

Tesco paid of all the mortgages of the houses in the area to keep the residents from complaining to the local authority.

in this case, i'm sure they can have a whip round lol

As flat out as it would go!! Either had to hang on the limiter in 4th to have plenty of grunt going up over the top or get in to 5th and loose a bit of pace going up to Raidillon. Amazing!

Never drove the old circuit but new bus stop is still a good challenge, a topic of debate for sure!

Spa race track has been there since 1921! Anyone moving into the area and then complaining is a F**KING IDIOT. The Adrennes covers a huge area. There's plenty of space find your own quiet spot to live in.

Anyway, you'll find it's not a question of money in most cases. It's the left of liberal green communist f**kwits living in some fantasy dream world trying to stamp out our fun.

Don't get me started..........

Best track I have ever driven!

Have to say I feel the same as everyone else on the subject and winds me up good and proper! I would pay extra to look over the track and get woke up to race days at the weekend :D

In fact most things bother me lol

Last one I did was £229 think it is a few pound more but worth EVERY penny!
