should my gearbox have an earth strap?

and if so where should it be connected to both ends? and how long should it be roughly cheers.

Can't remember if it has one there as standard, but the more earths the better really I think there is a fixing / bolt that you can use just below the passenger side headlight, the other end then can be attached to the gearbox prob best attaching it to one of thes bolts that hold the gearbox mount on to the gearbox. Length wise it would prob need to be about 25cm (guestimated).

Like James said the more the better, i had the orignal running from gearbox to passengers side wing (behind headlight) i also added another one to gearbox and also to the block.
