Blame Jesus for this as before he put the thought into my head at WSR I hadn't given it too much thought, but what was is the make and model number of the original head unit in a J reg ph2?
There was a thread a while back that kind of petered out without really resolving it completely so any definitive answer?
Like I said I'm fairly happy just bimbling along listening to what the car and engine are doing and never turn on the 3 cd cartridge unit that's fitted and it's almost of the period anyway so if I do try to source one I'd like to try and get the correct unit.
And everyone stop muttering trainspotter:)
Done what I should have in the first place and in amongst the paperwork I got with the car I got a manual for a Pioneer KE-2090B so although that's not gospel its almost as good as.

I think the previous thread showed us that cars were fitted with a few different head units made by Pioneer. I guess there may have been some option choice when new?
I think that's probably true, though for me the manual and what others have said point to the 2090 for J510, whaus annoying is I think I chucked one of these when I had the GTX, I hope not. Anyway the search begins.
Beware the sound quality of the pioneer unit & std speakers is poor:laugh:

:agree:  the word 'quality' is used lightly!
^^^LOL, yeah I think even the phrase Lo-Fi would be stretching the truth.

Oi, this is my fishing thread;)
CGB was after £15 and £25 depending on pioneer and philips, think it was more of condition wise of them. Either than or try your luck on eBay.
