Have managed to strip second gear.

Anyone got any suggestion on which JC5 gearbox (for a clio 182 turbo) would be a good replacement?

Was it a hard 2nd gear launch when it happened mate or just gently tickiling of the power? Im concerned about my low end torque and how long the box will last!!

It was more the "this impreza's not gonna no what hit him" (he was sitting an inch of my back bumper).

And I was right he didn't know what hit him, but i'm pretty sure it was most of the teeth off second gear :)

Come on Ashy i'm not gonna post it on CS for all the muppets to gloat.

I cant believe no one does a decent gear kit for these yet, the ford lot get spoilt for choice.

Whats cs like these days still full of muppets and wanna-bes

Unfortunatley so, there is a handfull of people who are really switched on but even they must be getting sick of trying to educate muppets on an almost daily basis.

Just ordered a new box, should be here this week so hopefully get it all up and running ready for the RR day.

Gonna give a JC5 128 a try. It's from a 80 bhp clio dci and has ratios a bit longer than stock. Unfortunatley it's no stronger than the stock jc5 but the more relaxed ratios will hopefully cut down on the number of gear changes.

Apart from that I'll just have to leave my lead boots at home next time I take it out :)

my ex used to be on cs, she used to take hundreds of pics of her car, all different angles etc.. i like a car to be clean and shiny, but i dont get out the paint thickness gauge, or use more than a bucket, sponge and hose to wash my car :agree:
