View Full Version : Rear brake compensator
Just literally finished playing with my rear torsion bar to lower the 5 a little bit more than before (not quite sukhi low ) and am not sure which way I should adjust the rear brake compensator, the 5 was lowered before my fettling but I am not sure if the previous owner adjusted the brake compensator. I now have it so the rear arch sits on the what looks like the lip of the 15" alloys.
low low low likw a hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooe
Schlaaaaaaaag :D
Shorten the rod to increase load...decrease length to reduce load...on the comp valve :D
It does look much better just hope it handles ok still. Cheers for the advices guys:cooter:
You'll be fine, you wanna see how lower mine is now :cooter:

havnt done this on mine yet.
So as its lower it thinks theres more load in the back, so when lowered we should decrease the rod?

Take it out, bang on the brakes and if the rear tries to mount the front bumper from the opposite direction, then let the rears of a bit!! The rear brakes are cack anyway so probabbly wont make any difference.

If the compensator isnt adjusted properly, it does make a diff Matt!
