Im sat here with a std T2, thread gauges and a vernier trying to work out wtf the thread size is for the oil feed fitting.

It is measuring- 11.3mm core, 13mm OD with a pitch of 1.25mm.

so you'd think M13x1.25........however that thread doesn't exist, no one makes a fitting that size, or a die that size to cut a thread. Speaking to my guy in the toolroom i'd be akward to screw cut that size of thread as well.

1/2" UNC almost fits, but i think the pitch is wrong (works out at 1.27mm)
1/4" BSP also almost screws in, but not quite.

Im told that T2's only come with 2 size oil feed holes, but the T2 i have on the phase 1 uses a M11x1mm fitting, i also have a knackered T2 with a fitting that is too big for the one on my phase1, but too small for this T2 in front of me.

****ty Europeans and their weird automotive thread sizes, wtf is wrong with good old BSP?

Can anyone help/know what size thread i need?

ive had simaler issues too mate

tbh its a pain in the arse but yr best off going to an hydrolic specialist, pirtex abbey hose ect

with yr turbo and yr oil feed pipe.

give it to them an say make this fit that.

u may have to use sighn language tho as sum of them are thick.

u may even need sumthing made up but there the best ppl to help u imo

cheers dave, but im an engineer for a large firm. We have accounts with hydro fitting suppliers, ive had them send me all the common size fittings around that size, ll series, enots, unc, ls series.... Non of them fit!

i've just had/i'm having the same problem..

my raider had a turbo technics t2 on it, with a std (looks std) rubber oil feed..

that turbo is dead, so swapped it with a std t2

the feed hole in the std t2 is too small for the feed pipe i have. checked the other four std t2's i have here and they are all the smaller size..

i've had to make a real pikey adaptor out of about 6 different adaptors just to get it to work

Drill it and fit something sensible mate. If not just wind that bsp fitting in!!

Have you tried calling/emailing Garrett directly?

not 1/2" JIC or SAE is it ? or is that the same thread as 1/2" UNC ? 20tpi anyway.

can you not measure the pitch better than 1.25mm ? I don't suppose there is enough thread to be that exact ?

is there a flare at the bottom of the hole ?
