Cambelt change

Me being a bit thick here has gone and stuck the cambelt the wrong way round on the car with the direction the arrows are pointing to, is there a reason for these markings or is it just to help line up the markings with the pulleys?

arrows are there to show the direction of turn .
so yes you have to fit them right way around

Dale, i think its something to do with the webbing in the belt mate.

Pattern is exactely the same, but removed it now and swapped it around. More than likely its to do with the webbing as you said, definately dont want to risk it.

Should have taken pictures of the car. Got a 3rd pipe coming out of the fuel rail with no pipe for it. Hmm better start searching in the engine bay for one :laugh:
