if you live in the area please phone me 07595701236 if you would like to help
thankyou
i guess when you say wont crank you mean the starter motor is not turning the endine so obvious question have you checked the connections to the starter motor?
well i think so yes but still nothing.
yo brendan ..it may be your tdc sensor? ..check your connections ..the solenoid wire(for the starter) also ;)
where does the solenoid wire go from the starter motor
this isnt brendon but one of his mates i will tell him u said hi tho
solenoid wire comes from the connector block from the dash loom to the engine loom ..it should be a thick white wire (im going from my clio gtt conversion btw it may be different) it should have a spade type connection on it ;)

The solenoid wire goes from the starter to the connector under the header tank (main plug for engine wiring loom), these do cause some problems.
Worth checking if you have 12v going to the starter, if not start from there and work back if you have then it looks like starter problem
wicked i will check that in the morning. bloody old enignes do my head in lol
thankyou
