Just been offered the chance to buy another 5!

the engine has only got 60k on it and is standard (however there is a strange knocking noise). There are no front wings and the paint is shocking.

Good points. The turbo, gearbox, clutch are good and it has the interior bits i need to finish mine.

Oh and its only 250 quid!

Bit of a no brainer me thinks!

i wish i lived in the uk i see all these cheap 5s on ebay etc.
and think if i lived i nthe uk i would have loads :laugh:

Tell me about it. There's huge import and "luxury" vehicle taxes in Oz which make European cars very expensive to buy new, hence the re-sell value being that much higher at a later date using the same depreciation percentage.

Example of new car costs:

BMW M5 UK price is a little under 65,000 quid (direct Oz exchange = A$130,000)

BMW M5 Oz price is a little under A$240,000!!!!!!!!!!

Even with the exchange rate at 2.5:1 the direct Oz exchange = A$162,500.

Better weather though:D.
