the engine is only 2k old with a lot of uprated parts, the body has good paint and the interior is tidy with a nice set of flocked door cards

Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum

-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
Looks very nice, i happen to have a nice sidey for sale if your interested.
-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
Saw this on eBay too, it looks awesome mate, agree with the dash tho leave as is pal :agree:
-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
thanks for the comments, i am so pleased with it and the detail to what has been replaced is second to none.
i think i agree i will leave the dash alone.
i am undecided about the wheels also, i am very tempted to get some standard wheels refurbed to complete the whole original look bar a little lower.

OE rims will go nice, although it's plenty low enough :agree:
Looks like the seller left their Tuba under the bonnet. You might want to return that.

Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
Ha ha cheers
I presume you mean the blow off valve (always makes me laugh)
Is there any difference or pro/con to these instead of the normal dump valve?
Thanks
-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum

-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
And i would get that by blanking off the bv completely yeah?

That looks lovely, i really like a glossy black 5.
-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
Does look very nice indeed.
For the record though, it's not a wastegate noise, it's turbo stall :smokin:
-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
thanks again for the comments lads.
i do prefer the wastegate (turbo stall noise) but for that reason i will keep a dump valve.
now the school hols are over i will be able to get some work done on this.

Agree on all points!!
I think the car as it is with the silver Prima's would look great!! You should put them on and upload a picture so we can see? :D
-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
Umm, id go standard wheels, mint in silver with a polished lip!!;) Just so happens i have some:D And guess what im after some williams wheels;).
Pm me if you want to go standard and do a deal:D:smokin:
Nice 5 though, looks mint!!!
If you get a sidey, i may be interested in your current one at the right price:)
-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
cheers guys.
i dont own the prima wheels yet i am very tempted tho. i think i would rather have the standard wheels than what i have but the butchness the prima ones would add would be nice
the side exit is in the kitchen ready to go on tomorrow all being well
-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
Very nice where did you get filter from ? Price etc
-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
well the sidey is on now and completely changes the sound of the car its now quite loud and abusive when on the loud pedal.
i am torn weather to get the rear exhaust cut out deleted at a body shop or if i should just run with it just in case one day i change.

I liked the rear exit exhaust on this car. I'd leave the rear bumper in case you go back :agree:

Get a spare bumper and delete the spare bumper :agree:
-
Re: black phase 2, old friend of the forum
I must admit i liked the rear exit exhaust and if it was 3 or 3.5 inward roll it may have stayed but i love the sound of the sidey
jtec - think your right i need 2 spare bumpers to cut about so i can keep this one in the loft.
I want to get that back end up touch. is the torsion bar a hard job?
Thanks
-
