cool matt, retro day is normally easy as theres always lots of interest and both years ALL tickets have sold, you need to be 100% sure you can move all or most of the tickets as the club loses out otherwise, at worse mate with pod tickets can be bought from pod or on the gate at worse which means we still get a day outQuote:

This was an awesome event this year, cant beat a good pod meet. Bit more organising, designated camping area with a club tent and the same amount of 5's/other turbo'd renaults will make for another great event! :cool:

You can try but previously they only sent them to the card holder address, or something like that. They may come direct from TicketMaster and not from pod. But the passes come from Pod, so they'd go to you I'd guess.

We decided to allow members to buy a ticket for their spouse at the members price, but only on specific pre-request as they don't have a RTOC members user name to supply so otherwise their purchase will be stopped.
We keep a log of all buyers so can tell if a member buys a 2nd ticket later.
There were only about two or three last year and it caused something of a muddle.
This does not apply to members pals, however good they are, or older kids. Under 13's are free.
Non Member Sunday tickets are now in the RTOC shop.
£14 + post. We lose the PayPal fees of about £0.68p from the £14.
In just over two weeks, from Pod it's £14 + £3 post per order or £14 if ordered on-line with 'print your own' tickets.

What should RTOC do?
This happened once or twice last year.
For a camping ticket we paid £16.12. In two weeks we'd have to pay £18.12 IIRC.
We pay PayPal for each sale 3.4% + 20p. on £16.12 that's 78p or £16.90 we have to charge to break even.
Plus postage and envelope if sent on it's own.

Of the 40 weekend tickets I bought, 39 are sold = 1 left.
And of the 29 Sunday tickets, 14 are sold = 15 left.

I will likely be there quite early on the Saturday and I should hopefully have the RTOC gazebo with me. I'll pitch that up if someone helpful chap can lend me a hand? Once that's up it'll provide a good focal point for the campers :agree:
I will be there first thing Saturday morning as well setting my gazebo but that will be in pits for all Saturday and then move later over to campsite in the evening I'm only running my car on Saturday lads as its to busy on Sunday for me and I plan to have a sore head:D

It would be most helpful if those going for the weekend who have not yet purchased, do so in the next few days.
We'll be coming to the end of the weekend tickets and I doubt we'll be buying any near to the event.

you can buy more but you need non member for the others unless its ya missus and she gets the members price

You tried to buy a ticket for a non member who's membership had recently expired. He was to tight to rejoin even though, with the weekend discount ticket, membership would cost him maybe £2.

I had some computer issues most of this week. And had to delete Firefox 38.05 today after the update yesterday broke itself. I was on here earlier with Opera on another PC, just as a test. I had Linux Mint going on Mon Tues and people were right when they say it's fast!

There are three who'll need passes and may have to collect at the gate:
• mike's r5 for your guests,

I won't be going. Drove the car on the dual carriageway yesterday and and at least one front wheel is too bent to go at much more than 55mph. I think it's those damned hillocks they put in the middle of the roads. The Fiat is to narrow to straddle them and the 13" wheels with the no profile tyres can't withstand the repeated impact. I've had them hammered out a couple of times and changed them a couple of times for round ones and here we are again; bent. :crap: Don't often go that fast around here, just follow the traffic to locals shops, etc, or on lanes. Not a great start for me, I'm currently stuck on the M6 waiting for the AA, car just died on me, noticed when I was cranking I couldn't hear the fuel pump. Bridged the wires in the relay and the pump ran but still wouldn't start. There was definitely fuel at the carb. So then checked for spark and that's my problem. I think it's the tdc lead. Will get the AA to run a continuity test and see. If anybody has a spare tdc and king lead they wouldn't mind bringing to pod that would be ace. Will update further when I know what's actually wrong. Just hope I manage to make it.

Drove up to the local premier inn today, car ran good all the way here even in the monsoon rains got about a 1/2 hours drive to pod tomorrow morning so see you all there
just got back in after a 1hr delay cause traffic was bad:cry:, id firstly like to say thanx for everyone who attended the pod 1st ND day, well ive never seen so many cars parked on the stand, robbies car performed great all day i think 10.384 sec was the fastest his car ran faultless, a personal best too and btw rob and aud great seeing yas again:agree:
also great to put loads of faces to names and again some great people of the clan that ive not had the pleasure of meeting before mainly alex, gtphil, lee, mojo and many others
there wasnt any show n shine in the end as there wasnt any interest which left time for people to do what they wanted, a massive thanx to matt the PFC photographer who took some excellent group photos
ian could you pm me some history of RTOC as they will want it for a cover story..

top day had a great laugh, met loads of people and i think the skips made up the most of any other cars there lol. Shame the car decided not to play ball and died on me during all three attempts, even more thanks to the many many people who towed me on the day lmao. Finally sorted it after everyone had gone turned out to be water leaked on to the coil lead:sad2:

Have to admit was a great day dissapointed I could not run please the car made it to the event in (can't say it made it all the way home but it made 90% of the journey back).

Accidently deleted my pics from the day. My fave 5s were the 3 dimmas. The blue on one the stand and the black and white ones in the camping area.
I had an awesome weekend even it was a little AA themed :laugh: Thanks to everyone who's helped organise the day and everyone who turned up. �� And everyone who helped me with parts and what not.
For anyone who didn't go you missed a cracking show and an awesome rtoc turn out. The amount of awesome cars that turned up was amazing. Best show I have ever attended for sure :agree:

As mentioned by most a good day out and was good to put some names to faces. The 5 was good aswell. Although I had 0 boost there or back. On the way up I only had part throttle because I'd clamped up the throttle cable without a rubber piece in between the cable and clamp. Thanks Logg for the fix.
So I assumed the 0 boost was because of the lack of throttle. But no on the way home again 0 boost😕 I in my wisdom put the actuator on and put the circlip on over a year ago and then meant too adjust the nuts to the right place to get my desired psi but obviously forgot. I no what a 1.4 non turbo feels like now 😂
All this chat about breakdowns and club spirit reminds me of the good old days.:D

A marvellous turn out for the club - I had an ace weekend. I arrived around 11am ish on the Saturday and just about managed to get the tend and gazebo up before it started raining - glad I brought that gazebo.
We all piled in the gazebo and had food and beer while it was raining, some great banter and laughs going on!
Phil turning up on the AA truch was a gem, even better that he manged to beat his PB with a bub 13 second pass........... and was then (eventually) towed home again having cracked a liner. He took it on good spirits though!
Really nice to meet some new faces including the committee guys who I've never met before. Also really nice to catch up with some old friends.
It was the first time I've been to the Retro Show (and the first time I've been to Pod in 10 years) but I'd most definitely go again, I loved the huge variety of cars.
