C1j. Thought it was a tappet so adjusted and all set nice and tight .20 and .15, the noise I'm getting sound just like a tappet but its quiet at 850 rpm idle, noisy if you rev it up, noisy on part load up the revs but shuts up on full load big right foot. Timing chaining floppyness catching cover I recon??
Manifold gaskets can be tickey when they go;)
Probably not it but easy to check, rocker cover overtightened?

Spot on :agree: the noise would probably be there all the time tho, not load dependant. But worth a check.
