Re: Dini N/A Engine build
Andy Cooke's your man I think?
Re: Dini N/A Engine build
just wondering, as colin turbod a n/a campus engine, can the same be done with the n/a dini engine??
Re: Dini N/A Engine build
yes, its easy to put together - remember the liner seals!- might wanna put alittle silicone sealant on them too.
a big one to remember...YOU MUST PUT THE CAM/DIZZY DRIVE GEAR IN BEFORE YOU PUT THE HEAD ON!!!!! IT WILL NOT FIT DOWN THE HOLE IN THE HEAD!
Re: Dini N/A Engine build
Cheers Sparkie . A little silicon goes a long way but too much goes even further ;)
How many hours do you think for a first timer ?

I wonder how many people learnt that the hard way....
Re: Dini N/A Engine build
if you measure everything you are supposed to then it could take a day. if you have a reground crank supplied with bearings and you aren't gonna get the liner heights in descending order then , maybe 6 hours ish?
Lewis - yeah, i wonder how i know that....

is that cos he's got his hands full at the moment? or cos he's heard about your alpine engine building skills, even if you are used to dealing with 2 extra cylinders! The 1397cc lump will be a lightweight compared to the V6 lump:eek:
he keeps pestering me for my le car 2 turbo seats! - hands off!:cooter:
Re: Dini N/A Engine build
Up to his eyes in A610 & GTAs I think .
I hope he hasn't heard too much about my skills :o

you'll need the turbo head, as the N/A is different thickness and you'll need a cam, journal bearing, cam followers and work out what you're gonna do about the waterpump and the angle of the gtt engine....

Thats just for starters, after that manifolds you'll need the dizzy and drive as well unless you have a passion for the C series of engines or are limited by competition rules/regs I'd look at something from the F series of engines it will be easier and probably cheaper to do
